History

Presently, P.H.R. Ken Micronesia, Inc. is part of the Ken Corporation group (Ken Corp) established as a high-end real estate company in 1972. In the 1980's Ken Corp became to start a joint investment business in the United States under the name P.H.R. Premier Hotel & Resort-Ken Group Hotel Business. In June 2005, after the reorganization of Ken Corporation's Hotel Investment Division, Ken Real Estate Lease Ltd.-Hotel Division was established. In April 2011, Ken Premier Hotel Management Ltd. under Ken Real Estate Lease Ltd., was founded and took over the role. The Ken Group is currently investing in and managing 24 hotels around the world.

In Micronesia, Ken Corp acquired the Aqua Resort Club in Saipan in July 2004, then later in May 2005 took over the Pacific Islands Club Guam. In May 2006 Ken Corp acquired the Palace Hotel then in April 2007 rebranded the name as the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort. In November 2006, Ken Corp acquired the Hyatt Regency Guam followed by the Country Club of the Pacific-Golf Course in January 2007. Then later that year in August 2007 the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa became part of the group as well as the Nikko Guam Hotel acquired in October 2008. Finally in June 2011, the Pacific Islands Club Saipan became the most recent acquisition.

The Company was originally founded in January 2007 as P.H.R. Ken Asset Management, Inc. operating its office at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort. After 5 years, the Company was renamed as P.H.R. Ken Micronesia, Inc. Due to the expansion of its operation and its commitment to the market in Micronesia in May 2012 the Company relocated its office ti the Ernts & Young Building in Tamuning.
