History

P.H.R. Ken Micronesia, Inc. is a subsidiary of Ken Corporation Group (Ken Corp) which was established in 1972 as a high-end real estate company. In the 1980’s, Ken Corp began its’s joint investment business in the United States under the company P.H. R. Premier Hotel & Resort-Ken Group Hotel. In June 2005, after reorganization of Ken Corporation’s Hotel Investment Division, Ken Real Estate Lease Ltd. Hotel Division was established. In April 2011, Ken Premier Hotel Management Ltd. under Ken Real Estate Lease Ltd. , was founded and took over the operation. Ken Group is currently operating and managing hotel properties all around the world.

In Micronesia, Ken Corp acquired the Aqua Resort Club in Saipan on July 2004, then later on May 2005 took over the Pacific Islands Club Guam. On May 2006, Ken Corp acquired the Palace Hotel which was rebranded as the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort on April 2007. On November 2006, Ken Corp acquired the Hyatt Regency Guam followed by the Country Club of the Pacific Golf Course on January 2007. Then later that year on August 2007, the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa as well as the Hotel Nikko Guam on October 2008 was acquired into the group. Finally in April 2020, The Tsubaki Tower became the most recent acquisition.

The Company was originally founded on January 2007 as P.H.R. Ken Asset Management Inc. operating its office at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort. On 2012, the company was renamed as P.H.R. Ken Micronesia, Inc. On May 2012, due to the expansion of its operation and commitment to the hospitality market in Micronesia, the Company relocated to its current location in the Ernst & Young Building in Tamuning.
